There are so many cleaning hacks floating around the internet that it can be hard to know which ones actually work and which don’t, leading to wasted products and wasted money. However, this 15-minute cleaning back for casserole dishes is a winner, and we’re here to share the secret with you!

Two-Ingredient Cleaning Hack

All you need for this cleaning hack is water and baking soda. Pour four cups of water into the dish and set it boiling. Then add two tablespoons of baking soda and let the dish simmer for a couple of minutes.

Turn off the heat and cover your casserole dish for 15 minutes. When that time has passed, dumb out the water and use a spatula to get off any stubborn bits. You can then fill it with dish soap and warm water and rinse to make sure you’ve gotten rid of any lingering baking soda. That’s it!

Other Methods to Try

If you don’t have any baking soda, there’s always the tried-and-true soak. Simply fill the dish with enough water to cover the burnt-on food and add some liquid or powdered detergent. Leave this to soften up the food and then wash as normal.

You can also try white vinegar. Pour equal parts water and white vinegar on the bottom of the dish. Heat the diluted vinegar and set it boiling. Once it has boiled for about 60 seconds, take it off the heat and remove the vinegar.

Stainless Steel Dishes

If your stainless steel casserole dishes are burnt, try using some baking soda and water that is mixed into a paste and scrub. This will remove any bad burn marks and food scraps.

With these tips and tricks, you can easily keep your casserole dishes looking nice and clean without having to buy any fancy cleaning products!
